Zero-emissions future
In collaboration with Revolt, Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin is working on an emission-free future. Revolt has equipped the hotel parking with 16 charging points, 4 of which are equipped with impressive digital out-of-home displays. Acting as a sophisticated media network, these displays allow the hotel to reach their guests just before entering the lobby. “We get a lot of positive reactions to the recently installed charging stations,” says Jill Stokkermans, PR and Communication Manager at Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin. “When the major events start again, we can use the screens on the charging stations to welcome companies and guests. This allows us to offer just that extra service, as people are used to from our hotel," Stokkermans continues.
Dutch Grand Prix
The Dutch Grand Prix is not immediately reminiscent of electric driving, but nothing could be further from the truth. Several sponsors stayed in Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin during the Dutch GP. Audi and Volkswagen, among others, brought their guests to and from the circuit with electric cars during the GP. An impressive 1771 kWh was charged during the weekend of the GP. This equals approximately 8,855 emission-free kilometres!
Sustainable future
By installing these first sixteen charging points, Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin contributes even more to their objective of combining the best service and the most beautiful product with socially responsible and sustainable business. “In the coming years, we want to accelerate the sustainability of mobility and thus reduce CO2 emissions by making energy available for electric mobility anytime and anywhere,” says Jeroen Van de Ven, co-founder of Revolt. “To achieve this, we like to join forces with organizations with the same ambitions. Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin is a good example of this.
